Pastor Bryan Crute
Destiny Metropolitan Worship Church
Ministry over 10 years old, growing, Purpose Driven Church
*disclaimer - this is the church of which I was a member for many years, so I am making my best effort to write through the eyes of a first time visitor. I also lost a page of my notes, so my notes are abbreviated.*
Location - Independant building space, non-traditional style church that has wide open seating. When the main worship area fills, there is overflow seating where one can view the service on large screen in another area.
Service Times: Sunday - 8AM, 10:15AM, 12:30PM, 2:30PM lasts no more than 1.5 hours. If you go to the middle two services, in order to be seated in the main worship area, it is highly recommended that you go on time.

Parking - there is adequate parking at the church, if the primary lot is filled, there is overflow parking with a shuttle service
Members - there are hundreds of members at each service.
First Time Guest - There are parking lot attendants greeting the guests as they come onto the campus. There are greeters at the door upon entry to greet every guests and point them into the direction of the worship area. There are ushers on hand to guide the guests once they enter the worship facility. There is a warm welcome extended to all participants in the service. At the end of the service, all first time guests are welcomed to come to a reception in their honor where they will be greeted by the pastor or some other member of leadership and given the opportunity to pray with someone. All guests are presented a CD from a previous service.
Praise & Worship - There is a praise team and band. The music tends to be more contemporary than traditional.
Sermon Title - Christmas is for Jesus Series
Luke 2: 10-14
1. God is able to bless others through me.
Matt. 9:27-30 There have always been (and always will be) blind men who want to follow Jesus. The question is who they will utilize as their 'walking stick' to help to guide them through the darkness.
1 Kings 13:6
2. God is willing to bless others through me.
Luke 5:12-13 Key words: 'I am willing' & 'Be Healed'. Instantly, the leprosy disappeared.
Mark 10:16
Action Item for the Week:
As you venture out into the holiday activities, take time to honor Christ in your interactions with others. The question is:
*How Can I ask God to Bless You?
As you encounter strangers, take the time to simply ask them that question. And pray for them on the spot, or keep a written list and pray for them at a certain time that you have alloted. But, the simple directive is to make sure that we show that we are concerned about the well-being of others to help to extend consideration to their needs. The requests are going to vary, the responses from the people that you encounter may be of shock that someone even cares to stop to ask them.
Suggestions of who to ask: waitress, cashier, security at your job, your co-worker, teller at the bank, telemarketer, neighbor out walking the dog, your family members, etc.
This is a blog detailing my adventures through the eyes of a first time visitor at various churches that will mostly be in the Metro Atlanta, GA area. I have loved going to church from a very young age, but have typically spent the majority of my time working in a ministry within the confines that are based out of a particular building. God has been challenging me to think of his ministry outside of the walls, so this is where I am at this moment.
